Skelton pleads 'no contest'

In district circuit court this morning, John Skelton pled "no contest" to three charges of [I was 10 minutes early and the session had already started. This is what I think the charges were] unlawful imprisonment, which in effect dismisses the kidnapping charges. Judge Margaret Noe reviewed police reports and found Skelton guilty of the charges. There will now be no trial. Pre-sentencing is scheduled Sept. 15. The judge reviewed Skelton's past accounts of his sons' disappearance, including a story he told investigators about looking in a two-story school house and in a Dumpster for items he gave the children when he drove them away from the house. The courtroom session seemed to bring some sense of finality to the case, but still doesn't answer the question of where the boys are located.
