David Russell DiCenso, 70, of Morenci, Mich., died Sept. 22, 2020, at home with his family by his side.
He was born June 29, 1950, to Pasquale and Charlotte (Allen) DiCenso in Warren, Ohio. David married Joyce Wonders on Sept. 21, 1968, at the Congregational Church in Morenci, and they just celebrated 52 years together.
David worked as a general contractor in both residential and commercial. He did everything from putting on roofs to building fireplaces, and like a true contractor, his wife reports they still had some projects left to do on their own home.
David enjoyed playing golf and softball and was an avid bowler. He was on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and presented a check from his fund-raising efforts in the Morenci community. He followed the Morenci Area High School football team for many years and braved the frigid weather to cheer on the Bulldogs. David shared his talents in building and bowling with the children in the community.
He is survived by his wife Joyce; brother Joe Topps; brother-in-law Robert Duff; and the many nieces and nephews that he viewed as his own and always took the time to be involved in their lives.
David was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Charles Barber, James Hanks, Marlene Duff and Pasquale DiCenso, Jr.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned.
Arrangements were handled by Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, Mich.
