Helen M. Stahl, 100, of Fayette, Ohio, died Sept. 7, 2020, at her granddaughter's residence.
She was born April 14, 1920, in Springhill, Ohio to Ray and Mabel (Brim) Brink. On Aug. 16, 1941, she married Clayton Stahl in Angola, Ind., and he preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1986.
Helen was a homemaker her entire life, and often did odd jobs. She was a member of Winameg Christian Church. In her free time she loved to sew, making quilts, dolls and pillows. She and her family lived at Harrison Lake for more than 50 years, and fishing and walking around the lake were other favorite pastimes.
Helen is survived by granddaughters Natalie (and Casey) Isakson and Lesley (and Brian) Fruchey; and great-grandchildren, Austin (and Chrissy) Shaffer, Tyler (and Mariah) Downing, Katelyn Downing and Hailey and Mackenzie Fruchey; great-great-grandchildren Tatem and Asa Downing; and a brother, Albert Brink.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry A. Stahl; sisters, Mary Brink, Isabel Brink, Louise Fazekas, Edith Wonders, Hazel Crall and Betty Ward; and brothers, George, Floyd, Ray, Byron and Earl Brink.
Public graveside services are planned at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, with Pastor Jim Mann officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Gorham-Fayette Fire Department or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
