Janet L. (Lawler) Salamin, 80, of Santa Claus, Ind., formerly of Hudson, Mich., died June 7, 2020, at Scenic Hills Care Facility.
She was born Sept. 10, 1939, in Adrian, Mich., to Elihu and Hazel (Turner) Mills. Janet graduated from Adrian High School in 1957. She married Russell Salamin on March 17, 2000, in Hillsdale, Mich., and he preceded her in death March 15, 2013. She was a member of Thornhill Baptist Church in Hudson.
Janet is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (and Carl) Somerlott of Santa Claus, Ind., Kathy Biggers of Montpelier, Ohio, Judy (and Walter) Luckey of Texarkana, Texas; a son, Roger (and Angela) Lawler of Waldron, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Allen Lawler; two sisters, Barbara Merritt and Helen Schutte; a brother, John Mills; and two great-grandchildren, Kymberly Hassenzahl and Zachari Rohr.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Morenci, with Pastor Elton Spurgeon officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci.
