Loyd Dale Bell, Sr., 79, of Morenci, Mich., died unexpectedly on March 9, 2020, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital.
He was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Seneca Township, to Jessie and Merriam (Ruhl) Bell. On May 1, 1997, in Toledo, Ohio, Loyd married Brenda Smith, and she survives.
He worked as a self-employed truck driver for 20 years and for the City of Morenci for 10 years. Loyd was a member of the bands, L & L Express, Renegade, and Nite Express for 50 years. He enjoyed bowling, race cars, and mowing lawns.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by his children, Cheryl (and Keith) Thierry, Kevin Bell (and Jackie Jennings), Loyd Bell, Jr., and Sabrina Murphy; one sister, Barb Dvorsky; three brothers, Arthur, Francis (and Jerry), and Larry (and Christie) Bell; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Bell; and a brother-in-law, Frank Dvorsky.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Eagle Funeral Home, Morenci. There will be no services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bell family for future designation.
