Nora E. Losey, 88, formerly of Waldron, Mich., died Oct. 9, 2019, at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen, Ind.
She was born March 15, 1931, in Adrian, Mich., to William F. and Edna M. (Rininger) Schallee. On Feb. 24, 1951, she married Clair W. Losey in Angola, Ind. Clair preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1979.
A graduate of Adrian High School, Nora attended nursing school and, two years later, started her career at Coldwater Hospital. She later worked in Addison and Hudson, before eventually retiring from Morenci Area Hospital where she served as both an LPN and a respiratory therapist.
In her leisure time, Nora enjoyed expressing herself through artistic projects including cake decorating, porcelain doll making, sewing and oil painting.
Nora is survived by a daughter, Darlene (and Dana) Lenhart of Goshen; a son, William (and Judy) Losey of Brooklyn, Mich.; and a sister, Maggie Ilene (and Richard) Carmean of Ocala, Fla.; a grandson, Derek (and Melanie) Lenhart; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Degan and Dekker Lenhart.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Cory J. Losey.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson, with Pastor Don Crain officiating. Burial will follow at Leondardson Cemetery in Pittsford, Mich. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
