Jacqueline Carol Paison, 62, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died Sept. 29, 2019, after a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born July 7, 1957, in St. Louis, Mo., to Robert and Lois Joyner. She was married to Ken Paison for 42 years. Jacqueline was a veteran and retired from civil service with the Army Substance Abuse Program at Fort Wainwright near Fairbanks.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Kenneth (and Sara) Paison of Palmer, Alaska; Christopher Paison and Eric Paison, both of Fairbanks; six grandchildren, Mikayla, Makenzie, Kenny Jay, Cameron, Maddie and Shane; stepmother, Barbara Joyner; sisters, Charlotte Smith and Linda Collins; a stepbrother, Mike Joyner; sister-in-law, Randi Joyner; and mother-in-law, Shirley Paison, formerly of Fayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Joyner; and a sister, Roberta Joyner.
A memorial service is scheduled Oct. 26 at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home in Fairbanks, and memorial contributions are suggested to the Blood Bank of Alaska or by donating a pint of blood.
