Jon Frederick Clark, 65, of Morenci, Mich., died unexpectedly Sept. 13, 2019, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio.
He was born Aug. 12, 1954, in Hudson, Mich., to James W. “Bill” and Reva M. (Miner) Clark. He married the love of his life, Cathleen Cornell, on Dec. 9, 1978, in Adrian, Mich., and she survives.
Jon graduated from Morenci Area High School in 1972. He was employed at Napoleon Lynx in Archbold, Ohio, for more than 44 years. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, golfing, camping with his family, and making daily campfires. He loved being in the company of his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by three children, Amy (and Caleb) Peck of Clinton, Mich., Jon Frederick Clark, Jr., of Morenci, and Erin (and Todd) Gilpin of Ypsilanti Township, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Bradyn, Isaac, Elizabeth, Tessa, Tyler, Josh and Kenneke; a brother, James (and Diana) Clark of Manitou Beach, Mich.; a brother-in-law, David Milliman of Manitou Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Valerie Milliman.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Morenci First Congregational Church, with Pastor Brad Heiple officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Homes of Morenci.
