Francis Junior Clymer, 91, of Morenci, Mich, died Aug. 13, 2019, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Fulton County, Ohio, the son of Charles Elmer and Rachel (Ritchey) Clymer. He married Mary Maxine Sommers on Nov. 29, 1952, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Junior proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1956, and was a member of the Morenci American Legion Post 368. He was employed in tool and die maintenance at Hydro Aluminum in Adrian and retired in 1990 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard and his garage, and especially enjoyed making things for his wife, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Junior is survived by a sister, Naomi Speelman of Morenci; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Gary (and Cindy) Glendening of Cottonwood, Ariz., Penny (and Rick) Nivison of Pittsford, Mich., Glenda (and Paul) Smith of Montpelier, Ohio, Danny and Barbara Clymer of Tecumseh, Mich., Larry (and Carol) Clymer of Wauseon, Ohio; great-nieces and nephews, Tyler Smith of Reading, Mich., Melissa (and Tommy) Stokesberry of Montpelier, Ohio, and Rachel (and Erik) Gier of Pittsford; and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, James, Amol, Charles, Russell, Paul and Harvey; four sisters, Wanda, Mabel, Ida and Verena; and a nephew, Mike Glendening.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Internment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
