Kay Marie Hill, 77, of Chelsea, Mich., died June 22, 2019, at St. Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor.
She was born April 1, 1942, in Adrian, Mich., the only child of Milfred A. and Esther Mary (Mawier) Hill of Morenci.
After growing up in Morenci, Kay earned a bachelor's degeree in music education from Eastern Michigan University and a master's degree in elementary education from Oakland University. She moved to Royal Oak in 1964 and taught elementary music, kindergarten, and second grade in Troy for a combined tenure of 30 years.
Kay Marie, a life-long Methodist by faith, was a member of many choirs through the years and taught a variety of Bible studies. She was currently a resident of the United Methodist Retirement Community in Chelsea. She considered herself fortunate to travel to the Holy Land for a visit. Gardening was her favorite pastime.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment of her remains will take place in the family plot at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
