Lowell L. Miller, 88, of Fayette, Ohio, died April 12, 2019, at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born July 23, 1930, in Archbold, Ohio, to Willard G. and Margaret A. (Grime) Miller. He married Patricia J. Cunningham on Feb. 17, 1984, in Archbold and she survives.
Lowell graduated from Archbold High School in 1948. In addition to being a life-long farmer, he was the previous owner of Archbold Truck Line and Paul’s Harness Shop in Archbold. He also worked at Sauder Village for 18 years, retiring in 2013.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a life-time member of the Belgian Horse Society, the Harness Horse Association and a member of the Democratic Party. He enjoyed harness making and had the #1 horse in the State of Ohio in 1971 whose name was “Speedy John.” He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda (and Ron) Treesh of Edgerton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brianna (and Trevor) Phillips, Bailey (and Virgil) Green, Blythe (and Aaron) Carr and Braiden Requena; and three great-grandchildren, Connor, Bella and Evelyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anna Rose Miller.
A graveside service is planned at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Fayette’s Pleasant View Union Cemetery, with Pastor Andy Reynard officiating.
Arrangements were made with Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette.
