Ola Louise Brink, 97, of Morenci, Mich., died Feb. 25, 2019, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, Ohio, where she had resided the past three years.
She was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Morenci and married Jack I. Brink on Feb. 6, 1943, in Wauseon, Ohio. He preceded her in death Aug. 30, 2015.
Ola was the valedictorian of her Chesterfield High School class in 1940 and was a lifelong Morenci-area resident. She worked for the Chesterfield-Dover School District as a treasurer before serving as a treasurer for Wauseon-Exempted Village School District for 17 years until her retirement in 1987. Ola was a faithful member of Morenci Bible Fellowship Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, golfing with her husband and friends, and rooting for the Detroit Tigers. She was fortunate to have traveled extensively across the United States as well as abroad. Her family was always top priority and she took pride in always supporting the activities of her kids, and later those of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ola is survived by two daughters, Betty Ann (and Bob) Bieber of Fayette, Ohio, and Denise (and Rick) Kamcza of Waterville, Ohio; three sons, Gary (and Carol) Brink of Blissfield, Mich., Rick (and Kay) Brink of Bryan, Ohio, and Steve (and Julie) Brink of Archbold; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Freda (Coulson) Belknap; a sister, Shirley Bulkley; and a grandson, Matthew Emmons.
Visitation is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Morenci Bible Fellowship Church (13181 Sims Hwy., Morenci). A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. James Yatzek officiating. Private burial will take place prior to the service at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Morenci Bible Fellowship Church or the Cherry Street Mission in Toledo.
