Anita Lou McMunn, 81, of Morenci, Mich., died Feb. 19, 2019, at Hospice of Lenawee.
She was born Oct. 16, 1937, in Johnson City, Tenn., to Hollis and Hazel (Sluder) Scott. She married James R. McMunn on June 24, 1956, in Adrian, Mich., and he preceded her in death Sept. 10, 2016.
Anita grew up in North Carolina and spent most of her adult life on the family farm in Seneca Township. She enjoyed traveling, puzzle books and reading, and loved spending time with her special canine friend, Percy. Anita was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weston and a dietitian at Morenci Hospital Area for 24 years, retiring in 1999. After her retirement she enjoyed serving as a volunteer at Hospice of Lenawee for more than 18 years.
Anita is survived by a son, Kevin (Janice) McMunn of Circleville, Ohio, and two daughters, Shelley McMunn of Adrian and Laura (and Richard) Bradley of Hudson, Mich.; two granddaughters, Sarah Bain of Troy, Ohio, and Rebecca McMunn of Columbus, Ohio.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister Norma Mae in infancy.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci, with Pastor Duane Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Porter-Packard Cemetery near Seneca.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
