Wanda M. VanArsdalen, 84, of Wauseon, Ohio, and formerly of Morenci, Mich., died Feb. 17, 2019, at her home.
She was born April 30, 1934, in Medina Township, the daughter of Harold and Cecile (Dunn) Dilworth.
Wanda graduated from Morenci Area Schools and was employed as a teacher for the district for more than 10 years, in addition to raising her family.
Wanda married James L. VanArsdalen on Dec. 19, 1953, at the Morenci First Congregational Church, and he preceded her in death Dec. 15, 2005.
She enjoyed reading and baking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Cameron (and Vicki) VanArsdalen of Defiance, Ohio; two daughters, Jamie (and Gregory) Ianni of Okemos, Mich., and Karen (and Robert) Gomez of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; two sisters, Frances Fether and Betty Price, both of Morenci; seven grandchildren, Angie (and April) Gomez, Sara (and Bryce) Miller, Allison (and Rocco) Cironi, Anthony (and Kelly) Ianni, Amy VanArsdalen, Kyle VanArsdalen, and David (and Alison) VanArsdalen; and six great-grandchildren, Avery Gomez, Ginna Cironi, Knox Ianni, twins Angelina and Alessandra Cironi, and Nash Ianni.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Burris and Margaret Marks; and two brothers, Robert and George Dilworth.
Funeral services are planned at noon Saturday, Feb. 23, at Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci. Burial will follow in Canandaigua Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
