Lois J. DeBacker, 70, of Lyons, Ohio, died Sept. 29, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Lois fought a four-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Lois was born July 24, 1948, to Harvey and Rosezella Beavers. She married Roger DeBacker on April 2, 1966, and he survives.
Lois was a CFP and CPA. She was the founder of Village Tax & Financial Services in Lyons. She was passionate about helping others and loved her clients. She touched many lives. She retired in 2017 due to her health.
Lois was active in the Jasper Bible Church. She always loved working in the nursery and with the children, and her faith was inspirational.
In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by her three children, Brent (and Cindy) DeBacker, Brian (and Kristi) DeBacker, and Bridget (and Wesley) McRobert; 11 grandchildren; brothers Raymond Beavers, Roger (and Abrigail) Beavers and Leroy Beavers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom Beavers.
A funeral service is planned for the immediate family only. A public Celebration of Life memorial is scheduled at 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at Jasper Bible Church, Jasper, Mich.
In lieu of flowers (due to allergies), the family suggests memorial contributions to the Jasper Bible Church, Ronald McDonald House, or the Victory Center.
