Patricia Emmons, 77, of Morenci, Mich., died Sept. 3, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.
Pat was born Oct. 6, 1940, in Adrian, Mich., to William and Dortheda (Bice) Beach. She was a 1959 graduate of Adrian High School. On Dec. 20, 1958, she married Roger Emmons in Morenci and he survives.
Patricia was a farmer’s wife. She worked as a cook and caterer, particularly at the Village Inn in Morenci. Her most recent job before retiring was postmaster relief for Jasper Post Office.
She was an active member for many years of the 4-H Project Parent and also Jasper Bible Church. As an avid bowler and member of the Women’s Bowling Association, she traveled to various locations during her bowling career and was quite decorated. Patricia was a member of the American Legion, Unit #275 Auxiliary, and a life member of the Morenci Sportsmen Club.
In addition to her husband, Patricia, is survived by three daughters, Tammie Reasoner of Adrian, Terrie Whitehead of Morenci, and Robyn (and Michael) Taylor of Morenci; a son, Bill (and Karla) Emmons of Adrian; a brother, Danny (and Dorothy) Beach of Columbus, Ga.; an uncle, Lloyd (and Donna) Bice of Clayton, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Danielle; a great-grandson, Izaiah; one brother, Jerry; and two sisters, Diane Schmucker and Linda Peters.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Jasper Bible Church, with Pastor Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, plus an hour preceding the service Thursday at Jasper Bible Church.
