William H. Campbell, 75, of Alvordton, Ohio, died Aug. 8, 2018, at his home, under the care of his family and Heartland Hospice, the result of cancer.
Bill was born in Litchfield, Mich., on March 7, 1943, the son of the late Clive and Florence (Riker) Campbell.
Bill grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School. A welder by trade, he put his skills to use in his working career for 45 years until his retirement in 2009, and he continued welding as a hobby.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhoda (and Brian) Miller of Wauseon, Ohio, and Dawn (and Mark) Hickok of Fayette, Ohio; a son, William T. Campbell of Stryker, Ohio; 11 siblings, Marvin (and Mary) Campbell of Hillsdale, Mich., Melvin (and Elaine) Campbell of Litchfield, Eugene Campbell of Litchfield, Mary (and Darrell) Adams of Homer, Mich., Lorene (and Lee) Slusher of Cambria, Mich., Marge (and Jerry) Lewis of Litchfield, Janice (and George) Manzer of Coldwater, Mich., Jim Campbell of Litchfield, Bonnie (and Jake) Ward of Osseo, Donnie (and Debra) Campbell of Homer, and Lila (and Rick) McNitt of Bronson, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Campbell; and two sisters, Marleen Cosier and Sharon Campbell.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan VanArsdalen officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer, Ohio.
