Dennis "Denny" W. Lowe, 65, of Lyons, Ohio, died June 5, 2018, in Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family, following a five-year courageous battle.
Denny was born May 26, 1953, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Vern W. and Esther E. (Stites) Lowe. He married Sue Clay on Sept. 8, 1972, and she survives.
Denny worked as a process operator for Silbond of Weston, Mich., for 33 years. He was a Army veteran, lived for his family, loved raising horses, loved his dogs, and enjoyed the outdoors and all animals.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sue, of Lyons; children, Sara (and Shane) Tanner of Wauseon, Amy (and Jason) Hancock, of West Unity, Ohio, Heather (and Brad) Ruger, of Fayette, Ohio, Dennis (and Holly) Lowe, II, of Lyons; parents, Vern and Esther Lowe, of Wauseon; grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Cade, Connor, Demi Sue, Baiylee, Bradyn, Breah, Jaley and Zander; step-grandchildren, Ashtyn, Ariel, Austin, Mia and Jackson; brother and sisters, Linda Lowe of Jackson, Mich., Marty Lowe of Mexico, and Darlene Leveck of Spring Lake, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Heaven Ruger, on Jan. 29, 2000.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. Interment will follow in Ottokee Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will follow the interment services Friday in Zion United Methodist Church, rural Wauseon. Visitation is scheduled from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
