Robert K. Beaverson, 77, of rural Fayette, Ohio, died April 19, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers.
Born July 14, 1940, in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Esta (Frey) Beaverson. Bob lived his entire life on the same farm in rural Fayette. He was a 1958 graduate of Gorham-Fayette High School. He married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Volkman of Ridgeville Corners on Oct. 21, 1961.
In addition to crop farming throughout his life, he also worked for several years at the former Fayette Tubular Products. Later, in 1994, he started his own business, Bob Beaverson Construction, where he proudly applied his talented skill of carpentry for numerous customers in the area, and formed many relationships.
Bob had a lifelong passion for farming, woodworking, fishing and sports. In later years, he and Ruth Ann enjoyed many seasons of camping near and far with their local camping group, the Stateline Campers.
In addition to his wife of more than 56 years, Ruth Ann, Bob is survived by two daughters, Pamela (and Thomas) Wiemken of Defiance, Ohio, and Shelly (and Brian) Hite of Archbold, Ohio; his only sibling, Barbara Phillips of Fayette; and four grandchildren, Jared Hite, Jordan Hite, Leah Wiemken and Logan Wiemken.
Funeral services were April 23 at Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church near Archbold, with James Basinger officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.
