Jeanette L. Kibler, 87, of Waldron, Mich., died April 17, 2018, at the home of her daughter in rural Hudson, Mich.
Jeanette was born April 25, 1930, in Samaria, Mich., the daughter of the late Arlo and Delia (Hiser) Kuney. She married Maurice “Dean” Kibler on May 22, 1948, in Waldron, and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Jeanette served her family as a loving mother and homemaker. For many years she volunteered for Wright Township, registering voters during elections. She was a longtime member of the Pythian Sisters Waldron Temple #74 and served the fraternity as its treasurer for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (and Ed) Hassenzahl of Hudson, Mich., and son, David (and Jigs) Kibler of Spearfish, S.D.; two sisters, Mary Kuney of Fayette, Ohio, and Margaret (and Bruce) Hayes of Frontier, Mich.; a brother, Allen Kuney of Victorville, Calif.; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Neva Comodoll and Arlene Wheeler; three brothers, Jerry, Larry, and Gerald Kuney; and a granddaughter, Abigail Sayers in 1994.
In accordance with Jeanette’s wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be planned at the Waldron Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
