Donald Conrad Glasser, Jr., 60, of Gaylord, Mich., and formerly a Morenci resident, died April 12, 2018, at McLaren Northern Hospital in Petoskey, Mich., in the company of loved ones.
Don was born Sept. 2, 1957, the son of Audrey (Galloway) Casetti. He was raised by her and her husband, Pete Casetti. He was a 1975 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High in Wyandotte, Mich.
Don moved to the Irish hills in early adulthood where he met and married Elizabeth Erickson on Sept. 11, 1982.
Don was a avid outdoorsman, musician, and classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed beer- and wine-making and could sell anyone almost anything. He worked a variety of sales jobs over the years, including Don’s Sporting Goods in Morenci. After the passing of his wife, Don moved to Gaylord after residing in Morenci for almost two decades.
Don will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a friend to all. Anyone who knew Don will also miss his silly sense of humor. He was usually seen with his faithful friend, Tanner, by his side.
He is survived by his two children, Mickey (and Katelynn) and Anne (and Jeremy); three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Sevrynn and Taelynn; his step-father, Pete Casetti; and two brothers-in-law, Art and (Betty) and Phil (and Cindy) Erickson.
Besides his wife and mother, Don was proceeded in death by a brother-in-law, Edward Erickson; his biological father, Donald Glasser, Sr.; and in-laws Hubert and Anne (Elliott) Erickson.
In keeping Don’s wishes, he will be cremated and services will be private.
