Jane (Redman) Browder, 88, formerly of Green Valley, Ariz., died Feb. 8, 2018, at Caring Dunn Right in Morenci, Mich.
She was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Morenci, to the late Chet and Nina Marie (Andres) Redman. She married Charles Randall “Randy” Browder in 1964, and he preceded her in death Jan. 4, 2016.
Jane was a graduate of Morenci High School and furthered her education at Adrian College for two years before transferring to Eastern Michigan University. Her professional career was devoted to elementary education and teaching music in Michigan and in Denver, Col.
Jane enjoyed knitting, beading, reading, and playing bridge. She was a member of the Caslic Wren Embroidery Guild, volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce, and belonged to the Red Hat Society. Jane and Randy were members of the Green Valley Recreation Center and Green Valley Elks, and they traveled extensively throughout the years.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Tracy (and Ronda) Walters of Monroe, Mich., Tony Frey of Toledo, Ohio; Janie Frey, Gary Frey, and Scotty (and Kelly) Frey, all of Morenci; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and their spouses, Joanne (and Donald) Frey and Evelyn (and George) Walters; and a nephew and his spouse, Danny (and Barbara) Walters.
Cremation will take place and a private family interment of Jane and Randy’s ashes will take place in the family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
