Barbara Clark, 84, of Wauseon, Ohio, died Oct. 7, 2017, after suffering many years with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born June 4, 1933, to Howard and Avis Elliott and attended Chesterfield School. This is where she met the love of her life, Harlen Clark, and they were married on July 13, 1952.
Once her children were all in school, Barbara started driving a school bus for the Wauseon School District. After several years, she and a relative opened C&C Fads and Fashions, a ladies boutique.
Barbara enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and completing word searches. She loved spending time at the family cottage on Round Lake and entertaining guests. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and visiting their home in Haines City, Fla. They made life-long friends wherever they went.
She is survived by three children, Sharon (and Jack Clementson) Schwall, Ken (and Cindy) Clark and Linda (and Joe) Roth; a brother, Robert Elliott; a sister, Donnie Hantz; seven grandchildren, Kerry (and Zach) Pros, Nicole (and Ben) Gleckler, Brittney (and Josh) Clifford, Hannah (and Nick) Bruns, Adam (and Perrin) Schwall, and Jodie Clementson; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson, Clark Schwall.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at North Clinton Church, with Pastor Brad Faler officiating. Visitation is is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Interment will follow in the Tedrow Cemetery.
