Gennifer L. Frend, 55, of Montgomery, Mich., died unexpectedly at home Sept. 1, 2017.
She was born Dec. 15, 1961, in Morenci, Mich., to Jacque and Helen (Miller) Sproull. She was a graduate of Morenci Area High School. On Oct. 13, 1979, she married David Frend.
Gennifer was known as a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to garage sales with her husband and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her professional life was devoted to helping others in the medical field where she worked as a certified nurses aide and later as a home hospice aid.
She is survived by her husband, David; a son Robert (and Laura) Frend of Wawaka, Ind.; a daughter, Tyler (and Jeremy Damron) Frend-Pedroza of Middlebury, Ind., a sister, Gwynne (and David) Fisher of Ann Arbor, Mich., a brother Greg (and Diane) Sproull of Livonia, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandparents, George and Eva Sproull, who were very involved in her upbringing.
A private service was held prior to cremation. A celebration of life service is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Cosperville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Wawaka, Ind.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
