Patricia K. Blosser, 74, of East Main Street, Fayette, Ohio, died Aug. 10, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio, surrounded by her family, following a brief period of declining health.
She was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Duane and Helen (Curtis) Brehm.
She married James H. Blosser, Sr., on June 3, 1966, in Archbold, Ohio, and the couple lived their entire married life in Fayette, recently celebrating 51 years of marriage. He preceded her in death less than two weeks prior, on July 30.
Pat graduated from Gorham Fayette High School in 1962. She worked at the former Fayette Tubular Products for more than 35 years, retiring in 1997.
Pat loved her coffee and the pot was always warm for visitors who dropped by the house. She enjoyed her daily coffee breaks with her friends across the street at R & H (Repps) Restaurant. While she was a woman of routine, she was always ready to get in the car with one of her kids for a quick trip to Wauseon or even a family vacation with the grandchildren.
She was an avid reader, often finishing a book in one day. She read fiction, as well as non-fiction, and was particularly interested in learning about the Amish. She had a large collection of angels, including everything from statues and figurines to books. She attended Wauseon Community Church of the Nazarene.
Pat is survived by five children, James Blosser, Jr., of Defiance, Brad (and Lanette) Brehm of Fayette, Chris Blosser of Fayette, Pam (and Todd) Moody of Pettisville, Ohio, and Paula (and Dan) Markley of Fayette; siblings, Bob (and Mert) Brehm of Wauseon and Mary Ellen (and Neale) Chase of Fayette; a sister-in-law, Lavannah (and George) Verburg of Tullahoma, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, Lindsey, Mallory, Emily, Jerrica, Tyler, Noah, Wyatt, Quinn, Josh, Mitch, Montana and Jacob; and six great-grandchildren, Kinley, Brody, Whitney, Brooklyn, Emberlyn and Gwendolyn.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Carol (and Roger) Prior.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Pastor Tim Moebs officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
