Albert Neally Clelland, 85, of Morenci, Mich., died May 19, 2017, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1931, to Fred and Carrie Clelland of Rivesville, W. Va. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954 as a mechanic. He attended Fairmont State College and earned a teaching degree in industrial arts and drivers education.
He married Betty Carrico on July 19, 1961. From 1962 until 1993 he taught at Morenci Area Schools and taught drivers education until 2000.
In addition to his wife, Al is survived by a son Isaac (and Pam) Clelland of West Branch, Mich.; three daughters Karen (and Paul) McClain of Clayton, Mich., Janice (and Charles) Donnell of Battle Creek, Mich., and Julie Lama of Adrian; two sisters Vonda Pheasant of W. Va., and Patty (and Robert) Fordyce of Ind.; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Al was known as a devout Christian who enjoyed reading the Bible and professing his love of the Lord. He was a member of Seneca Community Church.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial is being planned.
