Loren Dean Johnson, 77, of Adrian, Mich., died April 5, 2017, at Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian.
He was born July 7, 1939, in Adrian, to the late Ernie and Adeline (Pieplow) Johnson.
Loren grew up in Morenci where he later raised his family. He was employed as an inspector for American Chain and Cable. Loren was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and loved to dance, and belonged to the Glass City Singles dance club in Toledo, Ohio. He was also an involved member of the Adrian Eagles.
He is survived by two daughters, Julie (and Mark) Borton of Wauseon, Ohio, and Kim (and Tim) Nortley of Morenci; three brothers, Allen Johnson of St. Joseph, Mich., Larry (and Peggy) Johnson of Hudson, Mich., and Ken (and Joyce) Johnson of Sand Creek, Mich.; six sisters, Virginia MacGeorge of Adrian, Marlene (and Doug) Livingston of Adrian, Karen (and Keith) Arquette of Blissfield, Mich., Eileen (and Delmer) Cadoo of Hudson, Marilyn Bryant of Morenci, and Janet (and Gary) Walter of Adrian; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine (and William) Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard (and Ilah) Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Robert MacGeorge.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci, with Loren’s grandson, Pastor Michael Borton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
