Clayton’s annual Summerfest celebration is scheduled this weekend.
Festivities kick off with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. with an open line-up at 10 a.m. Bicycle and float judging is planned at 10:45.
Following the parade, the Memorial Park program and crowning of the queen are scheduled. Games and carnival rides, provided by Family Fun Time Amusement, will also get underway after the parade.
A car show is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with judging at 3 p.m. Open registration is scheduled at 9 a.m. Pre-registration costs $8 and registration the day of the show costs $10.
At 1 p.m. the Clayton Fire Department display and truck rides will begin. A talent show is scheduled at 1:30, a kid’s pedal tractor pull is at 2 p.m., and adult tricycle races, with tricycles furnished, are planned at 2:30.
Children’s old time games are planned at 3 p.m., the bicycle drawing is at 4 p.m., and Bingo starts at 5 p.m.
A street dance is scheduled at 8 p.m. and a fireworks display by Colonial Fireworks will begin at dusk.
A history exhibit, crafters, kids crafts, and an antique tractor display are also on tap.
A Passport Fair is planned from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Clayton Post Office. For more information, call 517/547-5734.
