I have written in the past to commend the city for the marvelous upkeep of Oak Grove Cemetery, but today, I am not so inclined. As I went to place flowers on my parents' grave, I had to clean around the stone in order to be able to place the winter decorations. I drove around the entire area and the whole place looks unkempt and sad. I stopped to pay respects to another relative and the leaves were piled nearly half-way to the top of the stone. I understand budget cuts and cut backs, but I am thinking you are not respecting the families that are laid to rest.
Merry Christmas, Morenci. Hope the New Year brings some better care of the final resting place of many of the city's forefathers.
