Delila S. Newlin, 70, of Blissfield, Mich., died Oct. 1, 2007, at Bixby Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Adrian, to Floyd and Olah K. (Fike) Stutzman. She married Ned Newlin on Sept. 12, 1959, at Fairview Church of the Brethren in Blissfield, and he survives.
Delila attended the Elem3nt Church Blissfield Campus, was a dedicated teacher, and was a home health aide with Hospice of Lenawee for 13 years.
Besides her husband, Delila is survived by sons, Ned (and Elizabeth) Newlin II of Port Orchard, Wash., and John (and Judy) Newlin and Glenn (and Mary) Newlin, both of Blissfield; daughters, Melissa (and Douglas) Mutter of LaSalle, Mich., Sharilyn (and Curtis) Shoemaker of Morenci, and Agnes Newlin of Big Rapids, Mich.; brothers, Edward (and Keitha) Stutzman, William (and Lora) Stutzman and James (and Carol) Stutzman, all of Blissfeild; a sister, Lorayne (and Calvin) Crew of Cedaredge, Colo; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, George Bryant.
A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Elem3nt Church Blissfield Campus (formerly the First U.B. Church of Blissfield) with Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Visitation is planned from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home in Adrian.
