Roger O. Sprague, 82, of Adrian, Mich., died May 28, 2017, at Toledo Hospital after complications from heart surgery.
He was born Feb. 8, 1935, in Morenci, Mich., to Bernard and Dorothy (Fortney) Sprague. He was married to Mary Lou Nortley and she preceded him in death.
Roger served as a Cub Scout leader for six years, was a member of the Mom and Dad’s Club at Madison schools, and was an avid morel mushroom hunter.
Roger is survived by two sons, Mark (and LeiAnn Dazey) Sprague of Adrian and Kip (and Tina) Sprague of Onsted, Mich.; a grandson, Nathan; a brother, Don Sprague; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sprague and Tammy Nortley; and a brother-in-law, Tim (and Kim) Nortley.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Glen, Gene, Harold, Verl and Jerry Sprague; and one sister, Bernita Clark.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. A private graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sprague family for future designation.
