Patricia Ann Driskill, 67, of Rollin Township, Mich., died Jan. 14, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1949, in Morenci, Mich., the daughter of George B. and Marjorie H. (Fallon) Britsch. Pat graduated from Morenci Area High School in 1968, and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Adrian College in 1973. She married Jim D. Driskill on Nov. 28, 1970, in Adrian, and he survives.
Pat had many talents, including becoming an accomplished pianist, seamstress, dress maker and licensed cosmetologist. Her greatest gift was faithfulness, not only to her church, where she was a dedicated member and served as clerk for 38 years at West Rome Baptist Church, but to her family, especially her grandchildren where she was known as Nana Pat.
Pat was a dedicated employee at Lenco Credit Union and was known as the “dog lady.” She's been handing out dog bones since 1995. Pat's wonderful sense of humor will also be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by a son, Pastor Jamie (and Heidi) Driskill of Adrian, Mich.; a daughter, Jenni (and Joe) Linde of Tecumseh, Mich.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Chloe Driskill and Tanner and Tyson Linde; a brother, Tom (and Judy) Britsch of Manitou Beach, Mich.; sisters-in-law Merri Driskill of Adrian and Deborah Speller of Saline, Mich.; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s parents, James and Virginia Driskill; and her brother and sisters-in law, Todd (and Marsha) Driskill and Diana Miller.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at West Rome Baptist Church in Manitou Beach, with Pastor Jamie Driskill officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Waldron Cemetery in Waldron. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison.
Memorials are suggested to Lenawee County Humane Society or West Rome Baptist Church.
