(Patricia) Dawn Baker Nisbett of Palmetto, Fla., died Dec. 5, 2016, at the age of 78.

Dawn was born April 23, 1938, in Morenci, Mich., to Floyd and Helen Baker. She graduated from Morenci High School in 1956 and attended Adrian College.

Dawn married Earl James Nisbett in 1960. After a brief time living in Tecumseh, Mich., Dawn and Earl moved to Hillsdale, Mich., where they lived until retiring to Palmetto in 2007.

Dawn worked for Camp Fire, Inc., as the Executive Director in Hillsdale County, retiring in 2000 after 42 years of service. She was active in the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church and was involved in many community organizations including the Jaycees, Hillsdale Community Theater and the Red Hat Society.

Dawn is survived by her son Bradley Nisbett of Palmetto; daughter Nancy Nisbett of Clovis, Calif.; and brothers Richard Baker and Robert Keith Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

A memorial service and reception in Hillsdale will be announced at a future date. Burial will be at Medina Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Hillsdale First United Methodist Church at 45 N. Manning St., Hillsdale, MI 49242.
