Harold H. (Buck) Ranger, 87, of Morenci, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, in Bloomfield, Mich.
He was born Jan. 15, 1919, in Medina Township to Claude G. and Rena Fay Ranger. He married Leila E. Rorick, May 30, 1941 in Seward, Ohio. She preceded him in death on June 11, 1992.
Buck lived his entire life in Morenci. After many years of farming, he went to work for the Parker Company in Morenci for 30 years. He retired from the company in 1981.
For the last two years, Buck was a resident of the Charles Fay Village. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Morenci and he was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Wauseon, Ohio.
He is is survived by two daughters, Barbara F. (and Darrel) Borton of Kennewick, Wash., and Lee Ann (and John) Bancroft of Royal Oak, Mich.; four grandchildren, Julie A. (and John) Toon of Richland, Wash., Nicole D. (and Geoff) Gronewald of Yakima, Wash., Benson A. (and Shelley) Bancroft of Huntington Woods, Mich. and Michael A. Bancroft of Royal Oak, Mich.; five great-grandchildren, Bailey R. Toon, Brady A. Toon, Abigail E. Gronewald, Mason H. Gronewald and Joley A. Bancroft and a sister, Bernita Stout of Tecumseh, Mich.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys A. Spangler, Genevieve Gallagher and Alice E. Sutherland.
Graveside services are planned at noon Friday, March 17, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
