Ronald Stanley Brazee, Sr., 84, of Adrian, Mich., died Nov. 9, 2016, at Magnumcare in Adrian.
Ron was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Adrian to Royce and Julia (Newberry) Brazee.
After graduating from Morenci High School in 1950, he studied criminal justice and security.
On Aug. 22, 1998, he married LouAnn Bluntschly on Mackinac Island. Ronald owned his own his security business and was once the head of the security department at Bixby Hospital. He also organized his own search and rescue team.
He was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a member of their dart ball team. Ronald was a former member of Civitan and a lifetime member of the Adrian Moose Club and the Adrian Eagles. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends throughout the years and made many more friends during their travels. Ronald treasured spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, LouAnn, he is survived by his three sons, Ronald Brazee, Jr., of Jackson, Mich., Kevin (and Teresa) Brazee of Sand Creek, Mich., and Tim (and Beth) Brazee of Pataskala, Ohio; a daughter, Julie (and Mark) Cooper of Ypsilanti, Mich.; three step-children, Jeff (and Beth) Rohrback of Danville, Ky., Brad Rohrback of Muskegon, Mich., and Jennifer (and David) Helmer of Saline, Mich.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three nephews and two nieces.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helene Humpich and Lucille Gala; and a grandson, Joshua Brazee, while serving in Iraq.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Blissfield, Mich., with Rev. Gary Leking officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery in Blissfield. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian.
