George Raymond Dilworth, 77, of Morenci, Mich., died Oct. 19, 2016, at his home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Morenci, to the late Harold and Cecil (Dunn) Dilworth. He married Nancy Deatrick on Valentine’s Day, 1975, and she survives.
George, a lifelong Morenci resident, graduated from Morenci High School in 1958. He was the long-time owner of George’s Auto Parts in Morenci. He previously served on the Morenci City Council, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Alcoholics Anonymous.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, George is survived by his children, Jacob (and Heather) Dilworth of Wauseon, Ohio, Jamie (and Matt) Dilworth of Otisville, Mich., Gilbert (and Amy) Henry of Adrian, Mich., Tammi (and Dave) Clancy of Taos, N.M., Gregory (and Kathy) Donovan of Columbus, Ohio, and Tammy Sullivan of Riga, Mich.; three sisters, Betty Price of Morenci, Frances Fether of Morenci, and Wanda VanArsdalen of Wauseon; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, George was was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dilworth, and two sisters, Margaret Marks and Mary Burris.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci will be planned at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
