Lynette Verna Sell, 91, of Morenci, Mich., died Aug. 30, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio.
She was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, to Samuel and Arvadel (Fry) Studer. On June 3, 1944, Lynette married Kenneth Sell in Detroit, Mich. They were married 61 years, prior to his death in 2006.
Lynette and her husband farmed on Weston Road near Morenci until retiring in December 1999. Lynette worked at Stauffer Chemical Company until 1985, after which she served as Seneca Township Clerk.
She and her husband loved wintering at the Apache Wells RV Resort in Mesa, Ariz. Lynette moved into Morenci after Kenny passed away, continuing to go to Arizona in winter. In 2013 she moved to assisted living at Grand Court in Adrian.
Lynette loved the Lord and attended church wherever she lived. In recent years, she belonged to the Weston United Methodist Church in Weston, Mich. She also faithfully followed the Detroit Tigers.
Lynette is survived by four children, Roger (and Connie) Sell of Napoleon, Ohio; Shirley (and Neil) Foreman of Jersey Village, Texas; Delores (and Walter) Wurst of Saline, Mich.; and Walter Sell of Adrian; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Sell, and brother-in-law, Wayne McMunn, and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lynette was preceded in death by her brothers Roy, Melvin, Samuel Jr., Floyd, Charles and Burton Studer and sisters Letta Brown, Pearl Kinsey, Ruby Klump and Evelyn Klump and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of Lenawee, 1903 Wolf Creek Highway, Adrian, that Lynette faithfully supported.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. On Sunday, visitation is planned from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
