Roscoe James "Rocky" Huff, 91, of Morenci, Mich., died July 2, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 28, 1923, in Canandaigua, Mich., to the late William and Sylvia (Abling) Huff. He married Wilma Jean Lockwood on Dec. 20, 1946, in Morenci, and she survives.
Rocky was a life-long area resident and farmer, and also worked at Stubnitz-Green in Adrian, Mich., where he retired in 1980. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II, and belonged to the Borderline Squares dance group of Morenci.
In addition to his wife, is survived by two daughters, Judith Ann (and Thomas) Hephner of Churusbusco, Ind., and Janet Shoemaker of Canandaigua; a son, William (and Mary Lou) Huff of Wrightwood, Cal.; one sister, Bulah Sprague of Adrian; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Dryer, Evelyn Wilson and Edith Martsolf; two brothers, Francis and Clyde Huff; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Hephner.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with the Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Canandaigua Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial donations are suggested to Seneca Community Church or Ebeid Hospice of Sylvania.
