Emma Girrell, 82, of Fayette, Ohio, died June 12, 2014, at her home, under the care of CHP Hospice.
She was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Bryan, Ohio, to the late Fidellia and Lillian (Isenbarger) Ross.
Emma lived her early life in West Unity, Ohio, where she graduated high school in 1949. She later moved to Fayette where she was employed at Fayette Tubular Products, and retired in 1996 after 27 years of service. She attended the Fayette Bible Church, and enjoyed reading, sewing and bird watching.
Emma is survived by a son, Stanley Borton, of Sylvania, Ohio; a daughter, Linda (and Ed) Gabler, of Hudson, Mich.; two granddaughters, Kristie and Melissa Borton, of Sylvania; one grandson, Derek Gabler, of Hudson; two sisters, Ilo (and Leonard) Wieland and Dolly Wiler, all of West Unity; a brother, Wayne Ross, of Bryan; a great granddaughter, Isabella Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jean Ross.
Graveside memorial services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, with Pastor Scott Coats officiating. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were made by Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette.
