Rheo O. Masters, 83, of Wauseon, Ohio, and formerly of Waldron, Mich., died April 25, 2014, at Heartland of Wauseon, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Waldron, the son of Charles and Goldie (Bricker) Masters. He married Louise Morrison on Nov. 3, 1956, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Rheo retired from Hayes Albion in Jackson, Mich., in 1995, with more than 30 years of service. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1948, and served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, Rheo is survived by one son, Phil (and Karen) Masters of West Unity, Ohio; one daughter, Renee (and Keith) McMahon of Wauseon; one sister, Beaulah Springman of Livonia, Mich.; six grandchildren, Dunne, Adam Victoria and Chase Masters, Brian (and Dawn) McMahon and Michelle (and David) Antulis; and two great-grandchildren, Berkley and Malayna McMahon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Adaleen Roth, Theo Hocker and Faythe Gunn; and four brothers, Blaine, Paul, Roger and Hal Masters.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson, with Minister Don Crain officiating. Interment will follow in Waldron Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Waldron Library or a charity of the donor’s choice.
