Dorothy J. Dunten, 87, of Clayton, Mich. died Feb. 1, 2014, at her home, under the care of her niece Marie (and Wayne) Meinke and Hospice of Lenawee.
She was born May 20, 1926, in Morenci, to the late Fred and Myrtle (King) Clark. She married Karl F. Pobanz on Nov. 3, 1951, and he preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1978. She later married William V. Dunten on May 16, 1987, and he also preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2005.
Dorothy graduated from Morenci High School Class in 1944. She worked at Bancroft Cleaners for 25 years, and also worked at Fauver Molding and the Morenci Rubber plant. She was a long time member of both the American Legion and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Thomas (and Theresa) Pobanz of Morenci, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Clark, James "Bill" Clark, and Samuel Clark; and one sister, Evelyn Stites.
Funeral services were Feb. 4, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Pastor Jim Yatzek officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
