Rev. Marjorie Brown, 86, of Medina, Mich., died Feb. 7, 2014, at Magnum Care in Adrian, Mich.
She was born May 8, 1927, in Avery, Ga., the daughter of Charles and Monel (Hobbs) McGraw. She graduated from Gibson High School in Gibson, Ga. Marjorie married Russell L. Brown Dec. 24, 1949, in Hudson, Mich., and he survives. She was an ordained minister and pastored at Lower Light Church in Hudson and Adrian.
In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by a son, Everette (and Cathy) Brown of Clayton, Mich.; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ruth Barnes; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Buck and Ellis McGraw, and one sister, Lawana Stapleton.
Funeral services are planned at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson, with Chaplin David Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow at Medina Cemetery in Medina. Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
