Helen Eloise Kelly, 86, of Morenci, Mich., and formerly of Sand Creek, died Dec. 12, 2013 at Lynwood Manor in Adrian, Mich.
She was born March 1, 1927, in Adrian to Frank Ever and Alida E. (Earl) Hayden. Helen graduated from Adrian High School in 1944. On May 29, 1947, in Adrian she married Ronald L. Kelly and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1995.
Helen was a member of the Morenci United Methodist Church. She worked at Fabricare Laundromat in Morenci for 18 years and enjoyed visiting with the customers. She enjoyed traveling, crosswords and reading.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Deanna Marshall of Morenci and Valerie (and Jeffrey) Cox of Brooklyn; two sons, Steven (and Bobbie) Kelly of Piedmont, Ala., and Jeffrey (and Sarahlynn) Kelly of Concord, Mich.; a sister, Marian (and Elbert) Allen of Prescott, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter; a great-grandson; one brother; and four sisters.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Donna Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home.
