Catherine DeWulf, 69, of Fayette, Ohio, died Dec. 3, 2013, at her home, following a battle with lymphoma.
She was born July 7, 1944, in Boston, Mass., to the late Don and Ann (Cierniewski) Bird. She married Edward DeWulf on April 20, 1963, and he survives.
Cathy lived in Michigan until age 12, when she moved to Fayette, and graduated from Gorham Fayette High School in 1962. She was employed at Fayette Tubular Products for 22 years, followed by 12 years as a clerk for the Fulton County License Agency of the BMV in Wauseon, Ohio. Cathy enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking and reading, and especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Catherine is survived by a daughter, Teresa (and Rick) Bacon of Bryan, Ohio; two sons, Michael (and Shannon Baltosser) DeWulf of Stryker, Ohio, and Bradley (and Kristi) DeWulf of Bryan; brothers, Don (and Diane) Bird, Jr., Jim (and Mary) Bird, Charles Bird, and Paul (and Cheryl) Bird; a sister, Pat Dulaney; four grandchildren, Adam Bacon, Rachel (and Nick) Evans, Collin Bacon, and Teah Lower; and a great-granddaughter, Carly Marie Evans.
A memorial service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette, with Pastor Joe Redmond officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation has taken place and burial will be scheduled at a later date in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.
