Michael Henley, 55, of Morenci, Mich., died Sept. 28, 2012, at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, Mich.
He was born on June 15, 1957, in Hudson, Mich., the son of Willis and Beatrice (Sheldon) Henley. On Nov. 29, 1994, in Toledo, Ohio, he married Patricia “Trish” Amos and she survives.
Mike has lived near Morenci since March of this year, moving from Manitou Beach, Mich. He was formerly employed at T & R Trucking based in Illinois.
Mike was an avid hunter and story teller.
Besides his wife, Mike is survived by two daughters, Miranda Benner of Manitou Beach and Kelley (and Ouday) Charara of Dearborn, Mich.; a son, Jon-Michael Henley of Adrian; a step-daughter, Billie (and Joseph) Yieder of Hudson; two grandchildren, Dustin and Paige Kimbrell; a sister, Julia Loar of Tecumseh, Mich.; and a brother, Ken “Wingnut” (and Robin) Henley of Adrian.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service are planned at 11 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Pastor Rick Court officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeville Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
