Patricia Taylor, 83, of Clear Lake, Fremont, Ind., died March 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Petrolia, Ont., Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Vera (Volway) Tobin. She married Hugh B. Taylor on April 19, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, and he preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1987.
Patricia was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Chapel at Clear Lake. She was known as “Grandma Patsy” to everyone and was known for her great sense of humor. She enjoyed Friday Night TGIFs, mowing on her John Deere, refinishing furniture, Wednesday afternoons at Kasota Island in Clear Lake, cooking, gardening and working on the family farm in Alvordton, Ohio. She was a 2007 Clear Lake Calendar Girl.
Survivors include one daughter, Chris (and Bill) Geiger, of Clear Lake; two granddaughters, Haley Jo (and Eric) Stoegbauer of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kelby Geiger of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Jane Riblett of Plymouth, Mich., Joanne Whetro of Alvordton, Ohio., and Susan Bany of Bryan, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and four sisters, Madeline Sentle, Merlene Creek, Carol Figgins and Margaret “Shorty” Gleckler.
Funeral mass is planned at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at St. Paul’s Chapel Catholic Church, Clear Lake, with Father Philip Schneider officiating.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday March 19, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, with a rosary service at 8 p.m. Monday.
A graveside Committal Service at Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, Ohio, will be announced at a later time.
