Rosetta B. Merillat, 86, of Waldron, Mich., died March 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born March 19, 1925, in York Center, Ohio, the daughter of Asiel and Mildred (Landes) Hills. She married Norman Merillat on Sept. 15, 1944, in Prattville, Mich., and he preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2011.
Rosetta graduated from Gorham Fayette High School. She retired from Peters Stamping in Fayette and had previously been employed at the D & C Store in Hudson, Mich.
Rosetta was a member of Prattville Community Church and she enjoyed cooking, embroidery and spending time with her family.
Rosetta is survived by three daughters, Peggy Merillat of Waldron, Shirley (and Robert) Black of Pensacola, Fla., and Barbara Bennett of Pioneer, Ohio; a son, Calvin (and Ellen) Merillat of Lapeer, Mich.; a brother, Perry (and Janet) Hills of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Hills of Holland, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Donald Hills.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Pioneer Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Interment will follow in Waldron Cemetery. Visitation is planned from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
