Orville D. Goldsmith, 68, of Roscommon, Mich., formerly of Morenci, died of heart failure on Jan. 10, 2007 at home.

He was born Aug. 28, 1938, to Isaac and Rose Goldsmith. He retired from Bohn Aluminum in Adrian, Mich., after 23 years of service.

Orville is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of Roscommon; two daughters Laurie (and Tom) Amos and family of Clayton, Mich., and Sheena (and Melvin) Bryan and family of Hudson; two sons, Leslie (and Shawna) Goldsmith and family of Delta, Ohio, and Monty (and Holly) Goldsmith and family of Clayton, Mich.; and one sister, Lynda (and Ernie) Stangle and family of Turners Station, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Goldsmith; two brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service is planned from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Morenci Sportsman’s Club. Donations will be taken at the service.
