Rex E. Wallace, 80, of St. Marys, Ohio, died Nov. 26, 2011.
He was born June 1, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Vern and Sadie (Gleason) Wallace. On Aug. 22, 1952, he married Delores Brackman who survives.
Rex was a 1949 graduate of Gorham Fayette High School and a member of the Celina Moose. He retired as the Director of Parks & Wildlife for Grand Lake State Park where he served from 1976 to 1988.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Lester (and Tammy) Wallace of Clifton, Va., Charles (and Gal) Wallace of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and LaMar (and Theresa) Wallace of Centerville, Ohio; two daughters, Etta Marie (and Caleb) Kurtz of West Unity, Ohio, and Elaine (and David) Klosterman of Montezuma, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Funeral services are planned at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Otterbein Senior Life Style Choices, with Rev. Carol Sainey officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Otterbein Senior Life Style Choices, St. Marys, Ohio. Burial will follow at Franklin Township Cemetery, Fayette, at a later date. Arrangements were made by Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, Ohio.
