Patricia Arnett, 81, of Clayton, Mich., died Nov. 26, 2011, at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Centerline, Mich., the daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Richardson) Taubitz. On July 18, 1975, in Adrian, Mich., she married Jack Arnett and he survives.
Pat has lived in the Morenci area since she was 15 years old. She was formerly employed at Morenci Rubber Company, retiring in 1982 after 15 years of service. She was also co-owner of Hudson Lake Market for 22 years.
She attended the Medina Federated Church and was a past member of the UAW Cap Council for 15 years, past president of the UAW for eight years, served as president and secretary of the Morenci Bowling Association and was a campaign manager for the Democratic Party for more 30 years.
Besides her husband, Pat is survived by two daughters, Judith Ort of Morenci and Janet (and Michael) Belknap of Hudson, Mich.; a son, Michael (and Carol) Culp of Morenci; four step-children; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and two sisters, Maxine Serilla of Detroit and Jean Redlawski of Morenci.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roy Taubitz.
Funeral services are planned at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Medina Federated Church in Medina, with Rev. Darren Lemmon officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is scheduled from noon until the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Medina Federated Church.
